Trek 2010

Last weekend was our Stake Youth Conference Pioneer Trek re-enactment. Alan and I were lucky enough to go as a Ma and Pa for the kids from Delano. Jaime and Erin joined our family and we had the BEST time! The weather was beautiful, the scenery was breathtaking and the experience was amazing. Our "kids" were terrific and so StROnG! We were sorry to have Jaime "die" on the way- actually, we had a very small family to begin with and lost 2 in the night. It was tough, but thankfully, our muscles were prepared and lots of helpers pitched in when we needed them. Thank you so much to all those who worked endless hours to give our kids this great memory and testimony builder!

Our kids- we were the Wickland family.

Erin and Dad were definitely some of the tougher muscles in our family

Baby Ephramine - she was a sensitive little girl with an egg in her tummy. Thankfully, she was well cared for by our family and was one of the few that didn't "crack" on the way.

Our family after our 2 "deaths".

Jaime and Maria- who was the biggest trooper of us all. She trekked the entire way not feeling well without one complaint. You are my hero Maria!

Finished! Tired and dirty, but so happy to have made it.

The whole Delano group with Ma's and Pa's pre-trek and pre- dirt!
